- There is another side to diplomatic immunity. If you are a diplomat
- posted outside your home country and break a law in another country, you
- may escape prosecution in the other country, but you may be prosecuted
- under your home country's laws.

- In one recent case, a Canadian immigration official who worked at a
- Canadian embassy or high commission somewhere in South America was
- apparently taking bribes. He was prosecuted in Canada under Canadian
- law, and is now presumably behind bars somewhere in Canada.
