  13. There is another side to diplomatic immunity. If you are a diplomat
  14. posted outside your home country and break a law in another country, you
  15. may escape prosecution in the other country, but you may be prosecuted
  16. under your home country's laws.

  18. In one recent case, a Canadian immigration official who worked at a
  19. Canadian embassy or high commission somewhere in South America was
  20. apparently taking bribes. He was prosecuted in Canada under Canadian
  21. law, and is now presumably behind bars somewhere in Canada.
