  13. The daycare center that my daughter (almost 5) attends has two
  14. male teachers -- both named Bill!  They are each head teachers,
  15. one for 3 year olds and one for 4year olds.  They are great and
  16. liked by all the kids.

  18. The after-school care that my son (6 years) attends currently has
  19. two male teachers, although they've had more in the past.  They
  20. take a herd of thundering kids and wear them out on the playground!
  21. I really appreciate this, especially in the winter when I can't
  22. pick him up until after dark.  I know he's gotten some play time
  23. under his belt.  The after school care is on-site at the elementary
  24. school and one of the teachers also organizes and runs the noon
  25. football "league" for the older grades.

  27. Note that in California, these folks are *teachers* not workers or
  28. providers.  They've each gone to college to study early childhood
  29. education, some have degrees in it.
