- Well, Cherie (12 weeks) has her second cold.
- The first one, I took her to the
- doctor the day after she got it. They prescribed Ceclor (sp?)
- 3x/day for 10 days. This time, I decided to try and treat it with
- Tylenol and the vaporizer. She's had this head cold since last Sunday,
- the 20th and it doesn't seem to be breaking. I think it's time to
- go with the doctor. She doesn't seem to have an ear infection but I
- think 8 days is long enough. What's the net wisdom in this area?
-
- I think eight days is long enough too; in fact I think one day is
- long enough for a cold. Unfortunately the cold virus doesn't agree
- with us.
-
- If she doesn't seem any sicker, and she just seems to have a cold, I'd
- wait another week. Lots of times colds last ten to fourteen days. If
- it makes you feel better, call the doctor and ask to talk to the
- nurse. I call my doctor's office all the time and talk to the nurses.
- Usually they know the answer. Sometimes they refer me to the doctor.
- It's a lot easier than schlepping all the way to the office and
- hanging around with a cranky two-year-old.
