- Several weeks ago I posted about a problem we wre having with our
- soon to be three year old son. For some reason, he became very
- tearful when we said good night and wanted us to sit with him
- until he fell asleep. He also work up during the night and
- wanted to sleep on the floor in our room. Then a couple of
- weeks ago he decided he wanted to sleep on the floor in his
- room rather than the bed. And many a morning we opened our
- door to find he had dragged his blanket and pillow and was
- asleep outside our door. We repeatedly asked what we could do
- to make his room nicer so he would want to sleep there. He
- never came up with any ideas. On Christmas Day we had lots
- of company for dinner. George took one of the women upstaird
- to show her his room. They got in a discussion on why he slept
- on the floor. Would you believe he told her he slept on the floor
- because he wanted to look out the door and see the pottie. We
- are in very low key potty training. SHe moved his bed to the middle
- of the room. That night he went to sleep with a smile on his face.
- The next day we rearranged his room so the bed in on the wall
- facing the door. So far we have had no sleep problems ( I hope
- I am not jinxing myself with this post).
-
- So I quess the moral of this story is that even at the tender
- age of 2.10 years they aren't going to tell their parents everything.
-
- On another note, I bought a copy of Love You Forever and went throug
- two tissues and was crying so hard I could barely finish it. When
- I finished my son looked at me and said read it again mommy. My
- MIL got teary eyed when she read it. Even my husband admitted
- it was a nice book.
