  12. Christmas eve, Alison was playing on our living room floor, Alex (my
  13. husband) was out somewhere, and the dog, Asta, was being as hyper as usual.
  14. The dog finally got on my nerves.  I forcefully told her to lie down (as in
  15. -loudly- stating "Asta, Lie Down!!!!!).

  17. Behind me, this little voice piped up "La Da!"

  19. I turned around and Alison was grinning at me, looking as amazingly cute as
  20. she generally is!

  29. PS  Despite the fact she hears those particular words ALOT around the
  30. house, I think she really is into repeating sounds right now.  Christmas
  31. day the cat was on our bed and Alison had joined us for a few momements
  32. before we were ready to get up.  We were teaching her how to pet the cat.
  33. The cat was purring.  Alison says "Rrrrrrrrrrr".  Well, it sort-of does
  34. sound like a purr!
