- My mother came to visit for Thanksgiving, and in general conversation
- around work, I was talking about how "challenging" it was to have my
- mother visiting. We love each other, but we can sure drive each other
- crazy! Anyway, my office-mate kept saying "I have this book you've
- got to read". You guessed it; it was "Love You Forever". When those
- things inevitably cropped up that would normally set us off on an
- argument, I managed to keep it to myself and lighten up. It turned
- out to be a really nice visit (not entirely smooth, but what's a few
- bumps among family?) When she left, I got one for myself and sent one
- to my sister, too. My plan for future visits is to read the book, dry
- my eyes, then go have a pleasant talk with my mother :-)
