- Funny, I seem to recall being on the receiving end of this same situation
- about 25 years ago. There was a battery operated remote control car I
- wanted, I think it was called Crusader 101 or something like that (anyone
- out there remember the days when they had some really neat Christmas toys
- displayed above the shelves in the supermarket? One of our favorites was
- the Playmobile, but that's another story).
-
- Anyway, I had indicated to my parents that I wanted it for Christmas, and
- they basically told me to forget it. So I figured I'd go a little higher up
- the food chain and ask Santa for it. It was after I asked Santa for it that
- my mother explained a very basic fact to me that I hadn't considered, and
- that you might be wise to explain to your kid...Santa will not bring toys
- that the parents veto. He may be able to get more stuff than your parents,
- but he won't overrule them.
-
- So if one of her other little friends gets this same car, the answer is very
- simple...her parents didn't veto it.
-
- Hope this was helpful.
