- Is there anything similar to the battery operated car that Santa
- can/will bring your daughter? eg. maybe not a ride-in one, but a small
- remote control vehicle? Or even a $1.99 Tonka toy?
-
- It is difficult to explain to a 4-year-old, but perhaps a lesson in
- dollar value of certain items would be appropriate - even Santa has a
- budget, if you want to keep this myth alive for your child. You could
- show your child the equivalent of an armful of teddy bears or a stack of
- other toys or games which cost the same amount as the toy she really
- wants.
-
- I really sympathize with you here. I have often given my 5 and 9 year
- old boys something they REALLY REALLY wanted, knowing that pretty much
- the only pleasure they will get out of it is opening it, and that it
- will be relegated to the back of the closet thereafter. It never cost
- $200+ though!
