  12. Our soon-to-be 4 YO is really keen on getting a battery operated car & she
  13. is hoping that Santa will oblige.  Unfortunately (for her), we do not want
  14. to spend $200+ on a single toy that is of dubious value [knowing her the
  15. way we do, this expensive toy will be tossed aside once the novelty wears
  16. off].  We've told her that it would be a good idea for her to give Santa a
  17. wide choice of things she would like to have.  We've also told her that
  18. Santa has to give toys to a lot of children around the world, some of whom
  19. have less than what she has, and therefore, we should only ask Santa to
  20. bring things that are inexpensive.

  22. Having explained to her that Santa has to bring toys for all the kids in
  23. the world, how do we respond if she finds out that "Santa" brought a car
  24. for one of her friends in pre-school.  Any advice/suggestions would be
  25. greatly appreciated.
