  20. Yes -- remember, that merchants have to pay the credit card company anywhere
  21. from 1-2.5% * the purchase price.  There is no way brokers could stay in
  22. business if they had to pay their commissions to the credit card companies.
  23. It would add up very quickly.  Your $10k trade costing you $50 commission
  24. would cost the brokerage $200 if you used a Visa (assuming a 2% fee -- I
  25. believe the average fee is 1.7% for Visa/Mastercard)
