- Yes -- remember, that merchants have to pay the credit card company anywhere
- from 1-2.5% * the purchase price. There is no way brokers could stay in
- business if they had to pay their commissions to the credit card companies.
- It would add up very quickly. Your $10k trade costing you $50 commission
- would cost the brokerage $200 if you used a Visa (assuming a 2% fee -- I
- believe the average fee is 1.7% for Visa/Mastercard)
