- I first posted this to a real estate group, but I haven't gotten an answer.
- Most of the people in this group appear to know alot about investments, so
- here are my questions: What are the stipulations for putting IRA money in an
- investment property? I live in a college town with very attractive housing
- prices. I recently bought a condo for myself and have decided to buy another
- as a rental property. I would like to do this with as little out of pocket
- expense as possible. I am told by my real estate agent that I will have to put
- 30% down to do the deal, and I am trying to avoid this. If I could roll part
- of my IRA over into this property, the 30% wouldn't be a problem, but I don't
- know whether or not I can do it. I believe you can have an IRA in real estate,
- but I don't know the details of this. Also, are there any creative ways around
- this 30% down problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I know that
- this wasn't the most appropriate group to post to, but I thought it was my best
- chance to get a pretty fast answer.

- Thank you very much,
