- As most of you are aware, Alan Abelson has resigned as editor of Barron's
- over a dispute about a proposed re-design of the paper. From what I hear,
- this is not the entire truth. Apparently Dow Jones (owners of Barron's)
- wanted to broaden the appeal of Barron's to less savvy investors. Abelson
- didn't (to paraphrase the quote I saw "I don't want to aim Barron's at people
- who move their lips when they read").

- Knowing that a lot of people read Barron's for Abelson's column, he's
- apparently offered to continue his column if he gets to name his succesor.
