  28. Yes, you can purchase options on oil futures (I have done it several times
  29. in my futures account). However, futures firms require a $5000 minimum
  30. deposit to open a futures account.  Also, $100 will only buy you an out of
  31. the money call with a short time (a month or two) til expiration.  Very high
  32. probability that it will expire worthless, unless oil goes up several dollars
  33. per barrel in a couple months.  If you have that accuracy in your predictions,
  34. call me!

  36. By the way, my latest margin sheet says $1620 is required to trade an oil
  37. futures contract (1000 barrels).
