- I recently read that when a stock takes a big hit because of
- earnings disappointment, a month later it will on average be down an amount
- equal to the initial loss and after three months it will have regained
- only 5% of the total loss. By this rule of thumb, buying stock that
- have takne big hits is not a winning strategy.
