  17. On January 29, 1993 the World Institute on Disability (WID) will
  18. conduct a training session on Telecommunications Policy for persons
  19. with disabilities.  It will be hosted by Pacific Bell and GTE, and
  20. it will be held at Pacific Bell conference facilities in Anaheim,
  21. California.  If you are interested in policy issues of disabled
  22. people's access to technology and access to telecommunications, you
  23. should attend.

  25. This one-day conference will provide you with opportunities to
  26. learn about new telecommunications technologies through exhibits
  27. and a field site visit, find out about state and federal policy
  28. initiatives affecting access to these new technologies for persons
  29. with disabilities and determine how you can become involved in
  30. efforts to make sure that persons with disabilities will be a part
  31. of the "Information Age."

  33. If you would like to be more active on this issue, please plan to
  34. attend.  There is no registration fee.  Lunch will be provided.  At
  35. 4 p.m., a separate exhibit and reception will be held by GTE in
  36. Cerritos focused on their fiber-optic trial of video-based services
  37. to the home; all registrants are invited.
