  18. History if i remember it correctly was that the blind in america in
  19. past years were so rich they didn't have a pot to piss in or a
  20. window to throw it out of.  When people are in that income bracket
  21. or were in past years food isn't the easiest item to acquire.  This
  22. was simply an attempt to make sure some protein needs could be met
  23. at affordable prices.  The same logic holds if you live in alaska
  24. since you're allowed to spend food stamps on fishing line.  That
  25. can help put food on the table in that location.  as for what's
  26. going on today, i have heard many stories some of them good but not
  27. all are that way.

  29. I think a serious reassessment of where the blind are in america
  30. economically should probably be done on a state by state basis to
  31. determine if this provision is even warranted anymore.  I'm sure in
  32. some states it will not be found to be warranted any longer but
  33. texas won't be one of them and mississippi is not likely to be one
  34. of them either.  Remember horses for courses.
