  13. Primarily due to my wife's reluctance to use a 3.5lb video camera,
  14. we've purchased a 1.9lb camera, and we must sell the "heavy one".
  15. It was purchased new in February 1990 (for $1600!), and we've had
  16. no problems whatsoever with it - except that my wife thinks it's
  17. too heavy.  We've put around 25 tapes through it (almost all Hi-8),
  18. and the results are beautiful.

  20. Some technical details:

  22.     - 420,000 pixel CCD, 2/3"
  23.     - 8x variable speed power zoom
  24.     - dual capsule microphone
  25.     - variable shutter speed (1/60 to 1/10,000 sec)
  26.     - variable iris setting
  27.     - crystal-clear slow motion and freeze frame
  28.     - TTL autofocus (* see below)
  29.     - 2 page digital scrolling superimposer
  30.     - flying erase head for noise free picture transitions
  31.     - edit search, index mark and search/scan functions
  32.         - control-L capable
  33.     - S-video input and output
  34.     - fader

  36. There are numerous other standard features, such as date/time generator,
  37. data screen function, macro focus, high-gain switch for low light
  38. shooting, manual override on white balance, focus and exposure.  The 
  39. battery is new, and we usually get around 50 minutes per charge.

  41. * The autofocus works just fine if there is sufficient contrast.  However,
  42. if the light level or contrast is low, it seems to hunt.  In my experience
  43. this occurs with all through-the-lens focus systems I've seen - although
  44. some of the more recent offerings fare a little better.  I don't
  45. understand why infra-red focus isn't more popular.

  47. The camera is in perfect condition.  It comes with all manuals, cables,
  48. charger and original packaging.
