- Seems like the best way to start a bank is to have access to lots
- of money, and the skill to make it work for you, i.e. make loans
- at a profit.
-
- I wondered about this myself, while exploring ways to make it easy
- for a customer to pay for products via mail or phone ( or net?) order.
- Seems like the time is right for a "debit card", where a customer could
- pay me just by giving me his card number. The bank would credit his
- account ( increase his credit balance), and debit my account ( decrease
- my credit balance).
-
- Obviously my credit balance should go negative, so there would have to
- be mechanism for moving negative balances to checking accounts.
-
- The problem of my customer not paying should be taken
- care of by my credit line; if he does not pay, my credit balance is
- increased.
-
- Seems like on-line-transaction-processing is advanced enought now to
- handle this. Want to make **A LOT** of money?
