- I'd like to setup a local (mostly) car club, "officially". There will
- be members in 3+ states, but it'll be based in my computer. This is
- basically an exercise in setting up and running a real business (that
- is there anyway, just really informally), for present and maybe even
- future use.
-
- So, being new to business I need to get into the incorporation
- process. I've called the MD dept of taxation and am getting
- incoroporation forms, sales tax forms, and even a name the corp form.
-
- What I need now is some more information on what does it all mean? I'm
- headed to the library but not until Saturday & Sunday, and I'd really
- like others experiences/references and tips on doing this sort of
- incorporation.
-
- My primary goals are to keep it very low cost by doing as much of the
- real work (forms, filings etc.) myself. Second is not-for-profit, this
- is basically a comfort factor for "members" or fellow car folks that
- will "buy" memberships and t-shirts if made etc. - this just kind of
- states I'm not interested in having the club buy me a new car etc.
-
- An additional twist is I may decide on a 3-way partnership.
-
- Any and all information appreciated.
