- There's nothing special about that offer. BMG Direct Marketing (one of the
- major record/tape/CD clubs offer deals where you get 8 CDs for the price of
- one to get you signed up. They have regular deals where you buy one and
- get two free. I don't know what the cost is to such a company, but the
- price per CD to the buyer comes to $5-6. They probably get them for around
- $3 to make a profit. The deal you mentioned gives you 8 cd's at the price
- of 4 so you are still paying $7 to $8.50 per CD.
