- In CT., Emergency personnel in thier private vehicles have NO
- priviledges over the other cars on the road. Lights or no lights.
-
- In my town, a past Chief had a long time feud with the local
- resident state trooper. Needless to say the trooper made our lives
- miserable. When a tone went in he would sit on the main route to the
- firehouse and wait for a fireman responding directly to the fire
- house. He would then pull out behind them and follow them right to
- the firehouse parking lot. He would later announce he will ticket
- the person if he was caught speeding again(makes you wish it was
- his house).
-
- The trooper exercised his rights and made his point. Most look the
- other way unless you screw up.
-
- He went as far as to hassle us for parking on the wrong side of the
- road at scenes.
