- We've all heard about the mega-$$$ in scholarship and grant money that
- goes unclaimed each year. We all know as well about those services that
- post little business reply cards outside of the financial aid office which
- promise to locate a chunk of that cash for you, for a fee of course. Here
- is what I don't know: do these services each construct their own databases
- from which they gather their information, or is there something out there
- in netland that I, as an impoverished student, can access for free? In
- other words, am I paying these folks for a database which they assembled,
- which I would gladly do, or am I paying them for searching public
- resources, which I would rather do myself? An answer to this question, or
- info telling me where to look myself would be greatly appreciated.
