  12. Has anyone seen this stuff before?  I have a house built in 1957, to which
  13. I wish to make wiring alterations/additions.  It's wired with 12/2 (no ground
  14. wire) that has what appears to be a full braided metal shield around it, which
  15. is connected to ground!  I've never encountered house wiring like this; neither
  16. had the electrician who inspected the place when I bought it.
