  13. Many thanks to those who responded.  It was pointed out to me that there
  14. is a FAQ on rec.pets for this problem, and it has been very helpful.
  15.  
  16. It seems that a combination of methods, applied over a period of time,
  17. is necessary in most cases.  :-(
  18.  
  19. I'm currently trying frequent vacuuming and spreading Borax; this
  20. appeals to me as it is both low cost and low environmental impact.
  21. I appreciate the other suggestions as well, and will try them if
  22. needed.
