- On this subject, I have a question. I lived in Ca for four years, registering
- my vehicle/s there. As military non-resident I found it much cheaper than my
- home state. I transferred to Hawaii in 91 and registered my car here, hey for
- .50 a year (yes, .50 cents) I couldn't beat it. After I got here, Ca DMV sent
- my MIL some kind of notice (my FIL "took care of it"). Now **IF** I get
- xferred back to Cali, will they slap me with some huge fine for not
- registering my car there, even though I'd have evidence that I was in HI for
- the last three years? I'm not hoping to go back to CA, but the Navy doesn't
- particulary care what I want. Thanks for info.
