  11. Having done it both ways, here is my advice:
  12. 1) Use a professional who has a truck-mounted system. It is much
  13. more powerful than the type that uses your house current.
  14. 2) If you can, hire someone who owns his/her own equipment. Ask how
  15. many years he/she has been cleaning carpets.
  16. 3) Even if you don't have Dupont Stainmaster carpets, ask how
  17. cleaning them differs from other carpets. The best cleaners have
  18. attended classes conducted by Dupont and use special cleaning
  19. fluids and techniques (so that the warranty is not voided).
