- Having done it both ways, here is my advice:
- 1) Use a professional who has a truck-mounted system. It is much
- more powerful than the type that uses your house current.
- 2) If you can, hire someone who owns his/her own equipment. Ask how
- many years he/she has been cleaning carpets.
- 3) Even if you don't have Dupont Stainmaster carpets, ask how
- cleaning them differs from other carpets. The best cleaners have
- attended classes conducted by Dupont and use special cleaning
- fluids and techniques (so that the warranty is not voided).
