- $60/year, you are buying many thousands of miles. in programs where
- you are permitted to buy mileage (to top off your account so you can
- claim an award), you have to pay lots more than $60 ... if you charge
- $5,000/year, your sixty dollar fee is buying you the same mileage
- that you would get if you had travelled cross-country round trip (the
- bargain basement fares for such a trip look something like $348).
