- Just last weekend my husband read an article to me (from
- the Indianapolis Star) about torn dollar bills. The
- article reported that a ( > 1/2 intact) bill could be exchanged
- at a bank for a whole one. If you have proof that the
- bill was destroyed (such as in a fire) and that < 1/2
- remains, you may also redeem the bill. Hope that helps.
