- I am really getting annoyed with all the "I've-never-tried-it-but-I
- know-it's-BAAAAD" crap. Folks, like most online services, Prodigy offers
- free trials. If you're curious, try it. Don't bash it out of ignorance
- or stupid feelings of superiority.
-
- You can get free trial kits from ANY current Prodigy member, including
- myself, with no obligation. It's a month free (almost*) unlimited usage.
-
- If you have any questions about Prodigy, or would like to get a free kit
- from me, feel free to drop me a note. Lest I get any nastygrams, let me
- admit up front that I indeed get a $5 credit on my account for each kit
- I send out (up to four). The people I send free kits to also get a
- rather good deal -- Pthe Prodigy startup kit still sells for over $25 in
- most stores.
-
- Before you decide to request a kit from me, consider the following:
- --if you've recently bought an IBM (not a clone) computer, you're probably
- already eligible for a free kit. Check out the ads that come with your
- computer.
- --if you have friends or family that are on Prodigy, order through them
- first. After all, I would think you'd rather get THEM a free five bucks
- than me :-).
-
- Folks, instead of rehashing disproven conspiracy theories or suggesting
- that USENET is the end-all and be-all of network computing, check your
- facts, or least put them to the test. I like BOTH USENET and Prodigy.
- They both offer unique services and have unique user bases and environments.
- I always urge my Prodigy college friends to check out the Internet... just
- as I urge you to check out Prodigy.
