- A disgusting practice which needs to be stamped out !
-
- Write a clear (and polite) letter to the management, explaining
- that as a regular customer you find this change unwelcome.
-
- Explain that the principal is unwelcome (if you think it is),
- but that if in the judgment of the management it is REALLY needed,
- then offer methods of making it more acceptable:
-
- - Cover charge receipt can be used towards the cost of a full meal.
-
- - Cover charge waived for regular customers.
-
- - Cover charge waived for advance bookings.
-
- - etc.
-
- Unfortunately, they obviously think that they have more customers than
- they can handle, and EXPECT some of them to go elsewhere - or maybe they
- intend turning it into the sort of place that you wouldn't want to go
- to anyway ? In these cases your best bet is to check out other restaurants.
