  18.    The Animal Rights Alerts mailing list has been set up to
  19.    facilitate communication among Animal Rights groups, activists,
  20.    and other interested individuals.  Its primary purpose is to
  21.    enable rapid dissemination of important information about Animal
  22.    Rights issues.  This venue, it is hoped, will serve as an
  23.    important adjunct to periodicals such as Animals Agenda and
  24.    Animals Voice.

  26.    The list will be unmoderated and will not be available in a digest
  27.    format at present.  Any information pertaining to Animal Rights or
  28.    to issues that relate to Animal Rights, such as habitat
  29.    destruction, are welcome.

  31.    Please realize that this list is a public forum and as such it may
  32.    not be the appropriate place to discuss your group's strategic
  33.    plans.

  40.    that this format is different from a normal listserv subscribe

  44.    address to the "subscribe" command;  for example, to subscribe
