  27.     Thursday, 17 December - The situation in East Timor once again drew
  28. a response from Parliament in a resolution which calls for the immediate
  29. and unconditional release of all Timorese political prisoners. 
  30. Parliament wants immediate access for representatives of the UN
  31. Committee on Human Rights and Amnesty International to East Timor and to
  32. Indonesian prisons. The resolution warns Indonesia of the consequences
  33. that repeated violations of human rights and international law may have
  34. for relations with the EC.
