  13.     It is with deepest regret that I must announce the closing of
  14.     The Plex Project. There isn't enough support to keep the group
  15.     alive. I will of course be finding new homes for the 17 systems
  16.     we are currently feeding. In Ann Arbor there is still iunet,
  17.     mudos and it looks like Meg (netmeg) is going to join the game.

  19.     I hope the closing of this system will help to show that even
  20.     though others are still -GIVING- Usenet News feeds, it costs
  21.     these people time and money to keep such a service alive.

  23.     Since the Universities are tightening their belts as far as
  24.     resources go, it will soon be up to the public to do MORE than
  25.     we currently are to keep ourselves fed. If you are one of the
  26.     local users receiving and posting to Usenet from somewhere other
  27.     than a -GEMMIE- account provided by your employer, think about
  28.     helping the site you are reading this thread on.
