- Jerry,
-
- I am serving as a volunteer consultant in Technology
- Education to the electricity/electronics teachers in the public
- schools in Chesapeake, Va. Each of 5 high schools have an
- assigned electronics teacher who teaches between 3 and 5 classes
- in electricity/electronics in their schools. Enrollment is no
- problem, in fact in most instances, there are more students
- seeking to enroll in the courses than there are spaces for them.
-
- The courses (two levels, Electronics I and Electronics
- II, both full 2 semester courses) have a fair amount of
- mathematics in the curriculum. Some students naturally do
- better in the math content than others, but most are capable of
- doing all of the math that is required for an understanding of
- the subject matter. The two year curriculum starts at the
- basic level of the complete circuit and ends with students
- building computer peripheral devices operated from an Apple II
- for which they develop their own programs in basic.
-
- If you need any specific information, etc., please
- contact me via E-Mail with your questions, and I will be more
- than happy to attempt to answer them.
