- Hello, my name is Adam Clark. I am a very concerned teenager
- that lives in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. At our local grocery store,
- the food baggers usually ask me if I want my groceries in a paper
- or plastic bag. Which one is actually better in enviromental
- terms? I don't know, you tell me!
- I realize it must take alot of trees to make paper bags, which
- are used in stores across our nation everyday. I also realize that
- harmful chemicals are used in producing plastic bags and they are
- harmful when deposited in our land fills. Both plastic and paper
- can be recycled, but not everyone recycles.
- Whenever I walk away from getting the groceries, I wonder
- which of the two harm the enviroment the least and which one I
- should have asked for. Which one would you ask for, paper or
- plastic?
- Your concerned friend,
- Adam Clark
