  12. -> each class meets for 100 minutes instead of the traditional 50-55 min
  13. -> might be guessed, we will be expected to teach a full year's course i
  14. -> half year. Our entire math staff is opposed to this for many reasons
  15. -> will not take time to list.

  18. -> any research on attempting to teach mathematics using such a schedule

  26. I have had no personal experience with the longer class periods but
  27. there are two high schools in the Columbus, Ohio area that are using
  28. that format this school year.  You might obtain information from writing
  29. the mathematics dept. chair at Reynoldsburg High School in Reynoldsburg,
  30. Ohio and also the chair at Independence High School, Columbus, Ohio.

  32. I've not seen either school post on this  or any other echo so you may
  33. need to make contact through the mail.  I understand that both schools
  34. are meeting with some success.  Our administration is also toying with
  35. the idea so keep us posted as to your progress.
