- A friend of mine is having problems with his hard drive and I was
- wondering if someone out there could help. Here's the problem:
-
- We ran Disk Doctor from Norton Utilities to check his disk and do
- any repairs necessary to it (Had problems creating an undo disk, so
- we bypassed that (big mistake I know). Now, for some reason he has
- more drives on his hard drive than is allowed. The system tried to
- make more logical drives (passed Z:). We can't run FDISK because
- it searches the hard drive and just sits there. Tried Norton Utilities
- again, and still no luck. Should he do a high-level format on the
- C drive? Just a little history, he was running a bulletin board,
- and someone uploaded a virus that ended up infecting his hard drive
- he supposedly "removed" it. So, now I can't figure out what to do.
- Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
