  19. Why do you find the domain style addressing we use as stupid?
  20. If my mail path is rusty@mstn.b17d.ingr.com, this means I use
  21. mstn as my mail-node, and my domain is building 17d, which is
  22. part of intergraph, which is a commercial site. There are .gov,
  23. .edu, .mil, .org ,in the US, and .can for Canada and a .su for the Soviet
  24. Union (somewhat outdated) and many more for communication around the
  25. world. Access to the Internet is both a privledge and a honor to 
  26. have, considering the amount of information exchange that goes on,
  27. and what you can learn from people who either have answers or experience.
  28. I suggest you find a public ftp account and get a FAQ or an internet
  29. guide to learn what it is all about before you criticize. One thing
  30. to learn is how to minimize the noise level in newgroups (useless postings
  31. that contain no real information, and take up bandwidth). I hope this
  32. posting was educational, and beneficial to this newgroup.
