- What did AT&T ever do to keep Unix "at the cutting edge"..?! If anyone
- kept Unix at the cutting edge it was its users; UCB & friends, the vendors
- who licensed SVRn, etc. Besides, emerging technology has outpaced Unix...
- SVR4 is merely a half-successful attempt to catch up. (Note: Posix compliant
- OSes can still be on the edge... just Unix(tm) isn't anymore, IMHO.)
