- I tried two versions of gcc for os/2. I can't remeber where the first
- came from but it was a chore. The filenames were incompatible with
- a FAT file system and there were several other problems in getting
- simple programs to work. I switched to emx/gcc 0.8e from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu
- in /pub/os2/2.0/programming/emx? It installed no problem, it ran simple
- programs no problem. The readmes with it claim a wider range of output
- file formats than my previously attempted gcc, both dos exe and os2 exe.
- I have yet to try a C++ program, manyly because I have never programmed
- C++. Maybe someone else has more information or other ideas. You may
- want to try the comp.os2.programmer news group, there are many gcc users
- there.
