  15. from time to time I read about a bug in epoch which is referred to 
  16. as 'Infinite beep mode': A message 'Marker does not point anywhere' is
  17. displayed in the minibuffer, and the bell is rung forever. 
  18.  
  19. This bug happens quite often with Epoch 4.2.1 on a DECstation 
  20. (Ultrix 4.2A and X11R5). I can stop this 'mode' only by killing Epoch.
  21. My questions: What is the state of the discussion and is there a bug fix 
  22. available?
