  20. The "official" master for all GNU software lives on "Prep.AI.MIT.Edu"
  21. (actually no longer an AI Lab machine, but the "published" name is an
  22. alias for wherever it _does_ live :-) in the directory pub/gnu.  The
  23. file name you want is emacs-18.59.tar.Z (remember to use binary mode
  24. to transfer it).

  26. I thought that most Archie servers had this machine in their list
  27. (under at least one of its names, it presently distributes for a
  28. number of interesting things, including Athena software and Kerberos).
  29. You should probably contact the operators of whatever Archie server
  30. you were using and mention this to them, the file has been there since
  31. Halloween and they should have picked it up by now...
