- Is there a way inside of emacs to change the number of lines emacs believes
- is on the screen?
-
- A quick perusal of the source shows that emacs checks for screen size via the
- signal() and ioctl()s. I frequently login to work from home via
- a Mac running NCSA telnet. I can and do display 32 lines on the screen and
- emacs refuses to acknowledge this. I also note that the LINES shell variable
- is ignored.
-
- Please respond via e-mail.
