  18.   Please excuse me if these questions are dumb (BTW I did RTFM but it
  19. was less than helpful. I am running X11R5 on Sun Sparcstations running
  20. SunOs 4.1.x.  According to the X-Window Users Guide Iam supposed to be
  21. able to issue a command like so:

  23.   xterm -e "do_something & 
  24.  
  25.  This is supposed to fire up an xterm window in which to run said
  26. command and close up when its finished. It works on some other Suns I have
  27. access to but not the ones I care about. On those the window opens and
  28. a message appears "xterm: can't execvp do_something". I believe I have
  29. something configured wrong but I can't figure out what.

  31. second question - what can I do to emacs so that it recognizes the
  32. arrow keys in an xterm window? This, I believe is another
  33. configuration question.
