- Where can I find more info on the Xfree86 mono X-server? The sorts of questions
- I would like to see answered are:
-
- 1) If one's display system has higher-than-VGA resolutions, can the mono server
- use them, and if so, how does one set it up? (Is the answer "exactly the
- same as the color server"?) Are there example Xconfigs around? I've seen
- people claim that the mono server will only do 640 X 480 (800 X 600 virtual),
- but it's not clear if this results from assuming a standard VGA, or whether
- the server itself has this limitation. If the latter, are there plans to
- remove the limitation?
-
- 2) xfishtank 2.0 was said (by someone unknown) to not run on the mono server.
- If so, why? What about an app makes it unrunnable on the mono server?
