  22. I think your problem is your Window Manager and not your X programming.
  23. If you install different colormaps into a window, there will happen nothing
  24. until the Window Manager decides to use this new colormap and installs it to
  25. the server.

  27. I install the cmaps directly to the server to get it running (for neat
  28. fade-effects for instance).

  30. Some WM's also complain about users installing new server cmaps (what is
  31. in fact no ICCCM compliant feature), but thats another story.
