  12. I know this question should be posted on the Japanimation list, but I was hoping
  13. that someone here might be able to help me without me subscribing to that list.

  15. Last night I was pleased to discover that one of my all time favorite shows as a
  16. child is now being played on MTV (MTV is our music television station in
  17. America).  The show I'm talking about is Speed Racer.  When I was a child I
  18. never really noticed how odd the English translation is and how fast the
  19. dialogue is (I assume this is due to the fact that the translators needed to get
  20. the entire dialogue into the scene).

  22. Is there anyone out there that has seen the original Japanese Speed Racer?  I'm
  23. particularly interested in the Japanese names of the characters.  I've always
  24. wondered why Speed Racer has a 'G' on his t-shirt and Trixie has an 'M' on hers.
