- I know this question should be posted on the Japanimation list, but I was hoping
- that someone here might be able to help me without me subscribing to that list.
-
- Last night I was pleased to discover that one of my all time favorite shows as a
- child is now being played on MTV (MTV is our music television station in
- America). The show I'm talking about is Speed Racer. When I was a child I
- never really noticed how odd the English translation is and how fast the
- dialogue is (I assume this is due to the fact that the translators needed to get
- the entire dialogue into the scene).
-
- Is there anyone out there that has seen the original Japanese Speed Racer? I'm
- particularly interested in the Japanese names of the characters. I've always
- wondered why Speed Racer has a 'G' on his t-shirt and Trixie has an 'M' on hers.
