  24. You really mean enforce punishment (in the hope that adequate punishment will
  25. deter the offenders).

  27. This approach will generally mean 1 (or more) innocent person(s) dead or injured
  28. for each offender punished. Better to remove the means of offence IMHO.

  30. Excessive paranoia on the part of the gun owners will not help.
