  40. I had similar problems.  Check your mouse settings in Xconfig.  Try all of the
  41. mouse settings supplied in the Xconfig for X386 in order and see if you can at
  42. least get a blue background with an xclock and an xterm.
  43. Otherwise, use the Xconfig information found in the documents for XS3 at the 
  44. ftp site where you got the driver.  A set of modes specifically for the 
  45. Orchid 1280 was included with the package I picked up(if not email me, and 
  46. I will post mine).
