- Okay I am sure this has been asked numerous times and if there is a FAQ
- for this group and this question is answered in it can someone point me to
- the FAQ. The question being... I am trying to get X running under Linux
- with an ATI Ultra Pro with no success does anyone have an Xconfig setup for
- the Ultra Pro with a 15" Crystal Scan monitor on my Gateway machine?
- I am using the X package from the SLS distribution, do I need to get the
- X8514 configuration?
-
- I use the Ultra Pro as an SVGA, so don't use the x8514. For one
- thing, I get a higher resolution this way. Here is my Xconfig. But
- please understand that this is for use with a Viewsonic 8 monitor
- which allows me to center the image and save that setting, so I have
- no idea how this Xconfig would display on a normal monitor. Just
- don't blame me if you blow up your monitor.
